DELUXE


All our rooms are named after Butterflies which thrive in Sri Lanka, and are styled individually incorporating local fabrics, elegant furniture of various generations and modernized amenities.

There are five DELUXE Rooms – Sunbeam, Cornelian, Monkey Puzzle, Pioneer and Lime Butterfly. These rooms are a little smaller than our Ultra Rooms, and not all enjoy access to their own private verandah, Two are Twin Rooms without a bath (but with separate shower). Otherwise, all amenities and standards of furnishing are to the same high standard.

SUNBEAM:
On the upper floor around the inner courtyard, enjoying a view over the stunning jungle-fringed infinity pool. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, cupboard and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with an old-fashioned cast-iron bathtub as well as separate shower, WC and double-basins.

CORNELIAN:
On the upper floor around the inner courtyard, with access to a verandah with chaise longues and views to the jungle. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, cupboard and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with a bath as well as separate shower, WC and double-basins.

MONKEY PUZZLE:
With its own arched doorway leading to a small outdoor verandah, this is one of our Twin Rooms, although it can easily become a Double. Has two beds with mosquito net, cupboard, sofa and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with a shower, WC and double basins, but no bath. The room adjoins the Black Rajah room and is ideal for families travelling with teenage children to book both rooms.

PIONEER:
With a private verandah and nestled right into the garden, where your own swing-hammock awaits you. This is one of our Twin Rooms, although it can easily become a Double. Has two beds with mosquito net, cupboard, sofa and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with a shower, WC and double basins, but no bath.

LIME BUTTERFLY:
On the upper floor with access from the inner courtyard. Has a four-poster king-size bed with mosquito net, cupboard and other antique furniture. A luxurious bathroom with an old-fashioned cast-iron bathtub as well as a separate shower, WC and double-basins.
